What Is Blockader?

Blockader is a 2D roguelite arena shooter where you control a space rodent against waves of enemies on a lunar battlefield. Weapons fire automatically, so movement, survival, and smart upgrade choices are the keys to reaching higher waves.

How to Play

Move: Use WASD to run around the circular arena.
Survive: Avoid enemy attacks while your weapons fire automatically.
Upgrade: After each wave, press 1–4 to select an upgrade card.
Reroll: Press Space when the available cards do not fit your build.

Hardest Challenges

Later waves become difficult because enemies increase the pressure, and ranged snipers force you to pay attention to positioning. The eight danger tiers also give experienced players a longer progression challenge.

Tips & Strategy

Keep moving around the ring instead of staying in one spot.
Prioritize upgrades that work together, such as extra bullets with chain effects.
Save rerolls for upgrade choices that genuinely hurt your build.
Watch for Snipers and change direction before they can trap you.
Collect Stars and invest in permanent upgrades to make later runs easier.

Best Tips for Beginners

Focus on survival first, damage second. Learn the arena's movement pattern, then build around a few complementary effects instead of choosing powerful-looking cards at random.

My Gameplay Experience

Blockader feels different from traditional shooters because you are not constantly aiming and firing manually. The interesting part is staying mobile while watching your build grow between waves. The hardest moments come when enemy pressure limits your movement, making a bad upgrade combination especially noticeable.
