What Is Costcodle?

Costcodle is a free browser puzzle where you guess a Costco product's price from its picture. Inspired by Wordle, it gives you six attempts to get within 5% of the correct price. A new product appears each day, making it a fun test of shopping knowledge.

How to Play

• Look at the product image and estimate its retail price.
• Enter your guess with your mouse, touchscreen, or keyboard, then submit.
• Follow the arrows and color clues to adjust your next guess. Get within 5% of the actual price to win.

• Start with a realistic estimate. Consider the product category, package size, and quantity before entering your first price.
• Use arrows to narrow the range. An upward arrow means the price is higher; a downward arrow means it is lower. Avoid repeating guesses in the same direction.
• Make each attempt count. If your first guess is too low and your second is too high, choose a price between them rather than making another random estimate.
• Pay attention to color clues. Red indicates a difference greater than 25%, while yellow means you are closer but still outside the winning range. Use these signals to decide how much to adjust.
• Save small adjustments for later. Once your guess is close, avoid large jumps. Aim for a price within 5% instead of wasting attempts on an exact-cent guess.
