About PokéBonk
PokéBonk puts a different spin on Pokémon-style battles. Instead of taking turns, you move around a 3D arena, dodge incoming enemies, and let automatic attacks do their work while you collect experience and pick upgrades. Every attempt lets you experiment with new upgrade combinations and combat strategies.
How to Play
Pick your Pokémon and start a run in Classic or Survival mode. Keep moving, gather experience, and choose upgrades whenever you level up. Simple enough at first.
Controls
- WASD / Arrow Keys: Move
- Space: Jump
- Shift: Slide and dodge
- R: Activate your Ultimate
Tips & Strategy
- Don't stand still for too long. Your attacks may trigger automatically, but enemies won't wait around. Keep moving and look for a clear route before you get boxed in.
- Grab experience when it's safe. Those drops are tempting, especially when you're close to leveling up, but charging through a crowd can cost you more than the upgrade is worth.
- Think twice before picking a bonus. I would favor an upgrade that improves a move I already rely on over a random boost that doesn't fit my current setup. A focused build is often easier to manage.
- Hold your Ultimate for the right moment. When enemies close in from several directions, that powerful move may give you room to recover. Using it while the area is clear can waste a useful escape option.
- Get comfortable with sliding. Shift can help you slip away from danger, but sliding without checking where you'll end up may leave you in another enemy's path. Against tougher opponents, dodge with a destination in mind.
Gameplay Experience
The biggest change from classic Pokémon battles is the pace. Combat moves at a steady pace, so you need to track nearby threats, collect XP when there's an opening, and choose upgrades without losing sight of the fight.
Personally, I'd focus on movement before chasing high-damage builds. It's easy to get distracted by leveling up and miss an enemy approaching from the side. That small mistake can turn a promising run into a scramble. The fun comes from learning when to push forward and when to back off.
