Farflung is a free geography puzzle where you answer five daily clues by placing pins on a world map. The twist is that common answers earn less distance, while rare but correct countries help you travel farther.

How to Play

• Read the clue and find a country that matches it.
• Click or tap the map to place your pin. You have 60 seconds per question.
• Select Drop Pin to submit your answer, then complete all five prompts to see your total distance.

Tips & Strategy

• Don’t just think of the famous countries. If a clue asks for a country that has German as an official language, think of Luxembourg instead of defaulting to Germany.
• So a country may look like a good fit but doesn’t meet one specific condition. Confirm the clue before committing.
• Get a right answer early: If you’re unsure of a rare option, get a sure answer down on land before the timer expires.
• Avoid map mistakes with zoom: Small countries can be difficult to select. Before you submit, please zoom in and verify the country name below your pin.
• Think outside the box: Think about microstates , multilingual countries , and other countries that meet the same clue that you may not be familiar with. Every prompt has a top-rarity answer worth finding.

Farflung combines geography knowledge with quick decision-making. The 60-second timer adds pressure, and since there is only one answer for each clue, every decision counts. While a lot of geography quiz games reward simple facts, Farflung encourages players to find less obvious correct answers.
