What Is Unbox the Room?

Unbox the Room is a relaxing organizing game. You unpack boxes and place furniture and objects inside different rooms. There is no need to rush; the fun comes from figuring out where everything belongs.

This is not like most decorating games where looks are everything, here placing each item in the right place is part of the puzzle.

Play Instructions

Get the stuff out of the boxes. Move each one around the room and try different spots until it looks good. Finish the room by putting away everything you have unpacked.

Tips & Strategy

Start with furniture. A large table or cabinet can change how much space you have left.
Look at the walls and corners. They often make it easier to guess where certain objects belong.
Keep small items aside. There is no reason to place everything as soon as you see it.
Check your unused items. When something seems missing, look through the remaining objects before moving half the room.
Try another spot if it feels wrong. Some placements look fine at first but make the rest of the room awkward.

Best Tips for Beginners

Don't try to finish the room in one pass. Put down the obvious furniture first, then deal with the smaller objects. If one item is giving you trouble, skip it and return to it later.

Hardest Challenge

The small objects are usually where I spent the most time. A cup, book, decoration, or other little item can have several possible places, so simply guessing is not always enough.

My Gameplay Experience

What I noticed first was how easy it is to lose track of a small item among everything else on the screen. I had better results when I stopped moving things randomly and checked what was still sitting in the boxes. The room also became much easier to read once the larger furniture was out of the way.
